When Katy and Matt came to me three months before their wedding saying they needed help with their wedding design, I was excited to help them bring their vision to life. I was even more excited when they told me they wanted to lean into the tropical inspiration from the Aviary and give their birds, Burd and Pinecone, a special spotlight on the day. We put together a design that brought together the tropical influence and a whimsy and fun atmosphere. With lounge vignettes for their guests to enjoy and table numbers that were represented by different birds, this wedding was truly a representation of the couple’s relationship. We loved using tropical flowers and palm leaf patterns to bring their vision together. And Burd and Pinecone made a special appearance at the bar with signature cocktails named after each of them. The couple was nothing but smiles all evening long as they danced the night away in their tropical rainforest.
